Benjamin “BenG” Goudy is a visionary in public health, human capital development, and social entrepreneurship. Having recently earned his Master of Public Health (MPH) in Health Policy and Administration from The University of Southern Mississippi, BenG is now pursuing a PhD in Human Capital Development, with an expected graduation in 2027. His academic and professional pursuits are guided by his faith and an unwavering dedication to empowering individuals and organizations to thrive.

BenG’s journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Kinesiotherapy and a minor in Psychology, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude . His Honors College thesis explored the intricate relationship between cultural values, dietary habits, and physical activity in the Deep South, showcasing his deep commitment to understanding the factors influencing health behaviors.

Currently, BenG serves as an Adjunct Instructor in the USM Public Health Program, where he inspires students to grow academically and professionally. He is also a social entrepreneur, providing travel advisory services and trip planning, as well as nonprofit consultin to address pressing community needs.

In his professional career, BenG has worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, Research Mentor, and Business Consultant for Driven Gold Enterprise LLC, optimizing corporate strategies to enhance productivity. He also manages his family business, D.G.B. Landscaping, demonstrating a strong entrepreneurial spirit.

BenG’s leadership and service extend to his involvement with Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., where he has held key roles, including Treasurer and Vice President. His community contributions include organizing health fairs, leading wellness initiatives, and supporting educational outreach programs.

Among his many accolades are the Graduate School Student Hall of Fame (2024), Fred Barten Memorial Scholarship, Lynn Cook Hartwig-Hattiesburg Clinic Scholarship, and the College of Nursing and Health Professions Campus Leadership Award (2024). Additionally, BenG has been recognized on the President’s List, awarded the Conference USA Commissioner’s Award as a student-athlete, and holds several professional certifications, including Registered Kinesiotherapist and Mental Health First Aid.

BenG is passionate about not only inspiring but also empowering his community by fostering growth, connection, and resilience. His goal is to bridge the gap between youth and the elderly population, creating opportunities for intergenerational learning and collaboration. By aligning his expertise in public health, human capital development, and community engagement, BenG envisions building a stronger, healthier, and more united society.
